What we keep, and why

Your panel

A panel registered for updates checks in with pxlp.nl every few hours. It sends its device ID, a private key it made for itself, the product and firmware version it's running, and its hardware type. Nothing else: not your Wi-Fi details, not your location and not what it's showing. Your location stays on the panel, which uses it to ask public flight data services for the aircraft nearby.

Your account

We keep your email address, name, a securely hashed password, the panels registered to you and any product switches you've bought. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.

This website

We count page visits without cookies or trackers. A visitor is counted using a one-way hash of the IP address and browser that changes every day, so we can't follow anyone over time. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.

The demo panel on the home page can use your location if you allow it. Your browser rounds it to about 25 km before sending it to us, and we use that only to ask adsb.lol for the aircraft nearby; it isn't stored.
